Securi-tek have been installing CCTV systems within poultry houses for over 10 years, initially CCTV cameras were installed to monitor the control rooms, to monitor BIO security and the house controls, farm managers were able to view a live feed on a monitor in the poultry farm office meaning they could carry on with other tasks.

With advancements in technology poultry monitoring systems are becoming one of the main tools of choice for many poultry farmers, monitoring systems can now do far more than show a video feed from a control room or an image from within a poultry house.

Our optical PTZ (Pan, Tilt & Zoom) poultry camera systems give the farmer a greater understanding of what is happening within his poultry house, unlike digital zoom cameras, that pixelate when the farmer wants to close-in on a bird, an optical system uses lenses to magnify the image, images remain in crystal sarp focus even at 150M (495ft) allowing the poultry farmer to zoom in closely enough too check the levels in feeder and drinker lines.

"The system allows us to get up close to the birds while negating the risk of causing undue stress or disease"

Through remote CCTV access the camera images can be viewed from anywhere and at anytime through a smartphone or tablet, the software can send alarm notifications for specific sheds straight to your smartphone and you can then log in and see what the problem is wherever you are.

On a day-to-day level watching flocks of birds without entering the sheds can highlight problems such as poor ventilation if birds are clustering in certain areas, issues with hoppers or water leaks, if there is an issue within a shed the poultry farmer can position the CCTV camera to cover that particular area and then monitor it from his smartphone or PC, this can reduce the amount of times the farmer needs to keep re-entering the poultry house to check on the issue, releasing him to carry on with other jobs around the site.

Poultry Monitoring Systems can help detect other problems in and around the farm, in some cases problems that may have previously gone undetected for a few hours, with our new range of Ultra Smart Poultry Monitoring cameras the system can analyze the house floor 24 hours a day, scanning for large groups of birds in one area or large areas of the floor without birds, the system can periodically check food hoppers and feeder lines, system alerts are sent directly to the farm managers smartphone showing the house number and a high definition snaphot image of the area that casued the alert, the farm manager can then take the appropriate action.

Purchasing Your Poultry CCTV Monitoring System

Poultry CCTV Monitoring Prices

We do not believe that there is a one fit all, of the shelf poultry CCTV system, this is why we do not provide CCTV prices on our website, every poultry farm is different and so are the people working there, some farm owners may require a higher level of detail from there system than others, some may require features on their poultry CCTV system that others do not.

Not All Poultry CCTV Systems Are The Same!

When considering positions for your poultry house CCTV cameras you must consider what type of image you need from that particular camera and in how much detail.

Do I just need to see the bird spread?

What about servicing?

Would I like to view feeder and drinker levels, and in how much detail?

What about feed hoppers at the end of the shed?

How many cameras will I need?

Audio microphones can be placed within the poultry sheds, allowing the farmer to listen and view any particular shed, or a mixture of audio and video from alternative sheds, noisy feed orgers, or sticking paddle switches can cause issues with feed lines that can go undetected for a long time, these issues can be picked up on and dealt with early, reducing stress to the birds, and prolonging the life of the equipment.

Securi-tek have many years of experience within the poultry industry and can help design a system with you, that will meet all of your requirements and most importantly your budget.
